Stream Rewards

Etherscape is introducing a full Stream Rewards system that turns every Twitch stream into a rewarding experience for both streamers and their viewers. This feature is designed to grow the Etherscape community by making streaming an active, participatory event where everyone benefits.

How It Works

When a linked streamer goes live, a Broadcast Power Bar begins charging based on XP earned during the stream. More viewers means faster charging. When the bar is full, the streamer triggers a Reward Drop — a timed event where viewers type a '!command' in chat to claim randomized prizes.

Streamer UI for reward drops

Both sides of the stream are rewarded:

  • Streamers earn the new resonance crafting materail, ENJ, and progress through a dedicated streaming rank system
  • Viewers earn lootboxes, tokens, ENJ and blockchain-backed items just by watching and participating in drops

Streamer Progression

Streamers aren't just playing on camera — they're building a streaming career within Etherscape:

  • Resonance — A unique resource earned only through streaming, used to craft Resonant Shards on chain which unlock streamer focused bonuses.
  • Streamer Ranks — Ten ranks from Stream Noob all the way to Voice of the Ether, displayed on your nameplate for all players to see
  • ENJ — Streamers earn an enjinite drop each time they trigger a loot drop for their viewers. This system works simliarly to the current in game loot drops.
  • Channel Point Redeems — Viewers can spend their Twitch channel points to trigger in-game effects. Advanced redeems are unlocked by holding Resonant Shards.
  • Build your Following — Other players can see in game when you are streaming, how many viewers you have, and can easily join your stream from an in game link.

Viewer Participation

Viewers aren't passive spectators. They are represented in game as a group of souls following the streamer and are able to trigger in game actions using their channel points.

During reward drops they can win:

  • Equipment caches and in-game currency
  • Blockchain-backed token transfers from partner projects
  • Enjinite drops redeemable to a linked wallet
  • Limited edition Etherscape NFTs (similiar to Lucky Clover or Lucky Charm items)

Growing the Community

Every stream becomes a gateway into Etherscape. Viewers who want to win rewards must create an Etherscape account to link with their Twitch acocunt. Streamers are incentivized to keep streaming through meaningful progression and real rewards. The intent is to create a fun and interactive way to share Etherscape with more players.

Partner Projects

Several projects are partnering with us to supply rewards for the stream drop system, including Enjin, ChainSpirits, MvB Forge, and Jinex. This means viewers can win cross-game items and tokens from across the ecosystem.

Funding

Stream rewards are funded by the Community Wallet, which receives 25% of all game revenue. Governance Proposal #17 passed and allocated a portion of the weekly Community Wallet payout to streaming. The weekly 3% payout is now split across four categories:

Category Weekly Allocation
Enjinite Drops 0.75%
Heroic Quests 0.75%
Arena 0.75%
Stream Rewards 0.75%

As part of this proposal, the Etherscape team made a one-time deposit of 100,000 ENJ to the Community Wallet to ensure healthy initial funding for the streaming ecosystem.

See Governance for more details on how community proposals work.
